William Tempest's dress

BRIT DESIGNERS ENCHANT AT KENSINGTON PALACE
Today Kensington Palace opens its brand new exhibition, 'The Enchanted Palace', complete with creations by WIlliam Tempest, Vivienne Westwood and more.

We headed to the Palace yesterday for a first look and we thought it was brilliant. 13 of the building's oppulent rooms have been transformed into a fairytale kingdom thanks to theatre company WILDWORKS and a clutch of London's hottest designers, telling the story of the royal court and the princesses who have lived there.

In the Room of a Sleeping Princess young designer William Tempest has created a period dress made out of 1000 origami birds (not all made by his own fair hand - employees of the Palace were roped in to help.) The dress is suspended in the corner of the room where Queen Victoria used to sleep, above a very high chair and a bed made up of stacked matresses - think the bed from the Princess and the Pea.

Design duo Boudicca have taken over the Room of Palace Time which is home to a spectacular clock. They have installed spectacular dresses sculpted from metal which hang from the chandeliers and gently rotate.

Also on show are dresses by Vivienne Westwood, Echo Morgan and Aminaka Wilmont and hats by Stephen Jones, as well as dresses once worn by Princess Margaret and Princess Diana. Trust us, you'll love the fashion-meets-Tim-Burton feel of the exhibition so make sure you catch it.

BAFTA stars reinvent the red lip

BAFTA STARS REINVENT THE RED LIP

Ok, so red lips on the red carpet are nothing new, but Claire Danes and Audrey Tatou show how to reinvent the look.

This weekend at London Fashion Week the focus for A/W has been on statement lips with red being the shade du jour. Claire and Audrey have obviously been taking note.

Claire Danes, whose normal beauty routine is nude lips and a soft smoky eye, knew that this look wouldn’t cut it paired with her Burberry, champagne-hued, dress. Instead she headed to Lancome who gave her a classic red lip using L’Absolu Rouge in Caprice. If you don’t usually wear a bold lip, it is the best way to make a statement.

Audrey, who could have happily got away with a nude lip, smoky eye combo for the night, instead opted for a red lip with coral undertones to set off her pretty pink Lanvin dress. Try an orange lip with a red dress or stick with Audrey’s tried and tested red with pink combo.

Nominated for Best Actress for Coco for Chanel, the star confessed to not wearing Chanel, but ensured her perfume was, to make up for it.

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY WEARS NEXT SEASON NOW

Of all the benefits being an A-list celebrity must bring, getting your hands on the newest designer buys well before they hit stores must be one of the greatest.

We've barely had time to digest the autumn 2010 shows and now the stars are already working the hottest looks straight off the catwalk. The latest star to make us green with envy? Keira Knightley.

The actress stepped onto the red carpet at last night's Lawrence Olivier awards wearing a floor length gown from Erdem'slatest collection, arguably our favourite from London Fashion Week. And, as if that wasn't bad enough, she looked stunning.

We're on the verge of throwing a fashion tantrum.

DOLCE & GABBANA'S GREATEST HITS

Dolce & Gabbana returned to its roots of 'Sicilian-ity, Sartorial-ity, Sensuality' for its Autumn Winter 2010 collection. And it was one of its best yet.

With a tribute show to its greatest hits in what eerily felt like a send-off, they presented the straight black skirts, velvet dresses, bustiers and bodies that referenced the label's own archive. A gold coin embroidered bustier harked back to Christy Turlington circa 1991, and let's not forget the blazers.

69 models flooded the catwalk for its finale, each wearing a different cut and style of the Little Black Blazer. This eponymous item is Dolce & Gabbana's bread and butter and its best selling item in store. Yet it has fallen foul of the catwalk in recent years, perhaps for not being interesting enough to showcase the designers talent. But modelled only with black satin knickers, if the audience had seen nothing else but these, it would have left happy.

Dolce & Gabbana really know how to entertain the crowd. As guests were seated, the many TV screens above the catwalk showed the live action going on backstage; a model running in to place, a final dab of lip gloss, feet being wedged into heels... As well-versed as we are at knowing what the backstage scene is like, it is still riveting nonetheless.

Before Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana took their bow, a video tribute was played of their 30 atelier staff who have been working on this collection tirelessly since December. To a soundtrack of Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor's Come What May, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Natalia Vodianova

GUESS WHICH SUPERMODEL THIS IS?
This is a picture of Natalia Vodianova. Yes, really.

There is an ever-growing list of models who have turned their hand to acting, but the Russian supermodel surely wins the prize for biggest transformation.

Natalia stars in the soon to be released adventure film, Clash of the Titans. And, as you can see, she's not playing a beautiful sidekick or love-interest. Instead she's had the full CGI treatment to transform her into Medusa, the snake-headed demon who turns all who look at her into stone (pictured). We wonder if she was channeling any particularly terrifying editors or designers for the part?

Watch her performance in the movie below.
