Daria, Stam and Erdem go up to the Bay’s Room

The Bay opened the doors of their transformed home of high fashion, The Room, on Wednesday night for a party at their Queen Street location in Toronto. Models Daria Werbowy and Jessica Stam, designers Erdem, Jeremy Laing, Kimberley Newport-Mimran, Lida Baday (it goes on), socials Stacy Kimel and Victoria Webster all packed the massive third floor space to check out one of the most highly-anticipated retail unveiling in recent memory.

Formerly known at the St. Regis Room, the Yabu Pushelberg-designed space is a knockout. Elegant, spacious and filled with runway candy from Balmain, Aquilano.Rimondi, Proenza Schouler, Matthew Williamson, John Galliano, and, and, and. Canadian talent is here with pieces from Comrags, Jeremy Laing, Erdem, Wayne Clark and Andy Thê-Anh. In a smart move on the Bay’s part, they’ve also purchased the shoes and accessories of any of their designers who have them. Joining those are beaded boho bags by Jamin Puech, gorge orange leather boots from Michel Vivien, plus Bruno Frisoni shoes, Barbara Bui shoes and bags, Tom Binns jewels and more. It’s tough to keep your head from spinning.

While most of us won’t have access to the adjoining members-only lounge, (if you did, you’d be treated to champagne, lush couches and hair and makeup services) there’s no reason not to stop into The Room and marvel.
