WE KNOW WHAT VICTORIA BECKHAM'S WEARING TO THE OSCARS!

New York fashion week may be holding our attention right now, but at Victoria Beckham's presentation yesterday we learnt a very important piece of unrelated news - which dress she'll be wearing to the Oscars.

Naturally the pop star-turned-designer will be donning one of her own creations - an ultra-glamorous full-length gown in right-on-trend nude, straight off the catwalk from her autumn 2010 show.

The dress is just one of the offerings that had the hard-to-please international press full of praise yesterday - there's no doubt now that VB has finally shaken off her critics and earned her place in the fashion industry. The new collection, although full of her by-now signature sophisticated dresses, had a more laid-back feel. 'My style is a lot more relaxed nowadays. I think you can see that in these clothes,' said Victoria.

Shown in the the Park Avenue mansion that was the set for Carrie and Mr Big's apartment in Sex & The City, the pieces were apparently inspired by early era Hollywood and 1940s femme fatales. 'This time I really pushed myself,' Victoria told ELLE's Avril Mair. 'It's much more sophisticated and daring.' And we loved it. Expect to see it littering the red carpet over the coming months.
