Just a month after Mohammed Fayed sold Harrods, daughter Jasmine has followed suit, closing fashion label Jasmine di Milo. The designer, whose has dressed stars including Rihanna and Sienna Miller, is planning on quitting the fashion industry 'to pursue other interests.' The 29-year-old's label gained popularity for her stunning red-carpet dresses and trendy designs - with hefty price tags. One sequined jumpsuit worn by Rihanna to a music award show in Berlin last year retailed at £6,885. But despite the celebrity fanbase and winning a place at Central Saint Martins Jasmine has attracted criticism in the past for nepotism. Her collection is available at Harrods - recently sold to the Qatari royal family for £1.5bn - and she showed her latest line at the Ritz in Paris - Mohamed Fayed's hotel. But not even a mogul father was enough to ensure the label's success as it has reportedly made a total loss of £8.9m - with a £1.95m loss in the last year. A statement said: 'Jasmine has decided to move away from the fashion business to pursue other challenges. 'After 10 years of bringing into being a style of clothes which exactly met her original aim, the Jasmine di Milo adventure will come to an end.' 'The company will honour all its contractual commitments in full, including the delivery of the AW10 collection.' The news comes after Mohamed, 77, announced the sale of Harrods to spend more time with his children. Jasmine, who's mother is Finnish model and socialite Heini Wathen, quit her fashion degree to spend a year interning in the Harrods sewing room before starting the label - Di Milo refers to Venus de Milo - the Greek goddess of love and beauty.
