90210 star AnnaLynne McCord stands out from the crowd in tiny luminous yellow shorts

She's always had a passion for fashion, playing one of the most stylish characters on hit TV show 90210.

And actress AnnaLynne McCord was certainly making a statement today as she stepped out in New York wearing a pair of tiny luminous yellow shorts.

Teamed with a red and white patterned top, a chunky red necklace and a trilby style hat, the rather unusual ensemble ensured the 23-year-old actress stood out from the crowd.

AnnaLynne is currently in New York while she performs in an off-Broadway play alongside Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly, who was also spotted out today.

 

However Minka looked much more low key in a pair of faded jeans and a baggy vest top and T-shirt. 

They are both star in production Love, Loss and What I Wore, which finishes at the end of this month.

The play features five women and comprises a series of different monologues.

AnnaLynne is currently on hiatus from 90210 in which she plays privileged teen Naomi Clark 

But there was no sign today of her rumoured on-again boyfriend Twilight star Kellan Lutz.
