Denise Richards is fabulous at 40 in a white hot bikini

She may have recently gone through a nasty custody battle with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, but Denise Richards showed no signs of stress on the set of a new photo shoot. 

The 40-year-old looked incredible as she flaunted her bikini body in a skimpy white two-piece in Los Angeles. 

Tanned and taunt, there is no doubt the mother-of-two is in great shape.

The actress wore very little make-up for the shoot and wore her caramel-coloured hair out in a loose natural wave.

Keeping with the summery theme, Denise later slipped into a bright pink and orange strapless kaftan.

The Wild Things star has been keeping a low-profile since her ex-husband began his odd ball antics after getting fired from his hit show Two And A Half Men back in March.

She has been concentrating on looking after her two daughter, Sam, 7, and Lola, 5.

Recently Denise has been locked in battles with her former husband over custody of the two girls.

Earlier this month, Charlie was spotted at his Los Angeles lawyer's office to prepare for a showdown with his former wife.

Sources connected with the case told TMZ that Sheen, 45, wanted to set up an agreement to have daughters Sam and Lola at weekends.

However Denise is said to have concerns over the welfare of the children under Sheen's care.

Earlier this year the actor went on a marathon alcohol and drug binge with a group of prostitutes.

TMZ reports there were 'neutral third parties in the room' who agreed with Denise that Charlie should not be responsible for the children.

The matter is currently not scheduled to go to court and the actor will not get the visits he wants, the website claimed.

The news came just a week after Sheen became officially divorced from Brooke Mueller, who he has twins Bob and Max with.

Brooke has reportedly been granted $55,000 a month in child support on top of a lump sum of $757,698.70 and another $1 million for her share of their marital home, according to U.S. reports.

Charlie will keep the family home, though, and the settlement documents are said to state: ‘Under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola.’

The finalised divorce settlement comes after Sheen lost his bid for custody of his two-year-old twin sons with Mueller last month.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hank Goldberg said it was ‘in the best interest of the children’ because of ‘questions of abuse and other inflammatory and emotional issues’.

Meanwhile Sheen has put his home on the market for $7.2 million, describing his plush pad as a 'spectacular celebrity home' on the real estate listing.

The home, which he once ironically nicknamed 'Sober Valley Lodge, is described as an 'entertainers dream' - hardly surprising, given the star's well known love of partying.
