Tina O'Brien is full of cheer as she grabs her pom-poms to root for soap stars at Sports Relief football match

She may have been surrounded by her former co-stars but Tina O'Brien knows exactly where her loyalties lie.

The former Coronation Street star grabbed her pom poms to cheer on her Waterloo Road cast mates as they took on her former colleagues in a charity game of football for Sports Relief in Manchester yesterday.

O'Brien, 26, showed off her slender figure in a short blue pleated skirt with matching jacket and beamed for the cameras as she cheered on the cast.

She was joined by Chelsee Healey, 21, who played pupil Janeece Bryant from 2006 to 2009 and is said to be returning to the show this year.

Tina, 26, was also reunited with Coronation Street star and her former on and off-screen love Ryan Thomas, 25.

Tina and Ryan met when they played on-screen lovers, hairdresser Sarah-Louise Platt and builder Jason Grimshaw but were also an item off screen and are parents to 17-month-old daughter Scarlett.

They called time on their six-year relationship last November, but remain friends and took it in turns yesterday to look after their little girl.

While Tina posed in her cheerleading outfit for the cameras, Jason tried to placate his grumpy daughter with some soothing words and her dummy.

And she seemed to cheer up when she was back in her mother's arms as Jason pulled on a bright yellow shirt and joined his Coronation Street team mates out on the pitch.

They also looked after baby Scarlett as they clapped Ryan's efforts at Manchester's Regional Athletics Arena as the ITV soap took on the BBC One drama.

Joining Ryan on the Corrie team were Weatherfield regulars Michael Le Vell, who plays Kevin Webster, Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland and Craig Gazey, who plays Graeme Proctor.

Also battling their footballing wits against each other were the casts of ITV soap Emmerdale and BBC One comedy Ideal.

Ideal's Johnny Vegas took to the pitch for the programme although earlier he looked like he should have been in the manager's seat in his flat cap and suede coat.

The event, which took place yesterday morning, was hosted by Auf Wiedersehen, Pet star Tim Healy and ex-footballers John Barnes, Dean Windass and Richard Edghill took on the roles of celebrity managers.
