Now THAT'S a star-spangled banner! Ke$ha steals the show at Glastonbury in ripped flag shirt and sparkly gold leotard

She's no stranger to rocking out on stage in a variety of skimpy outfits.
But in honour of her performance at Glastonbury last night, TiK ToK singer Ke$ha took to the stage wearing a ripped American flag T-shirt over a sparkly gold leotard.
The 24-year-old singer also donned a pair of light-up sunglasses and holey tights as she performed some of her hit tracks for the crowd.

It was the second day of performances at the festival for Ke$ha, who had taken to the stage in the East Dance tent the day before for a surprise set for fans as well.

After her performance, Ke$ha tweeted: 'My throat was bleeding.there's nothing more worth my blood than my fans. Ill scream till I bleed all summer long for u guys.'
She later added: 'Tomorrow!!Dance tent!! again!! I've been f***ing waiting my whole life for the chance to play glastonbury!!'

Talking about her Glastonbury performance ahead of playing at the Somerset festival, Ke$ha revealed she was planning to cover her fans in glitter.
She said: 'I'm really excited. I have a lot planned. I've always believed playing Glastonbury is the epitome of success - it's something I'm taking very seriously.
'I don't leave home without my glitter cannons. I have lots of different ways I'm going to shoot glitter at people - I'm going to reach everybody. It's going to be a pretty massive field from what I've heard.

'I'm also bringing my cross-dressing dancers and my glitter backpacks. I'm going to play guitar, drums and synths - all of the things I take on tour are coming with me to Glastonbury.'
Ke$ha shot to success in 2009 when she appeared on Flo Rida's number one single Right Round. She later became successful in her own right with her debut single TiK ToK and debut album Animal.
Now Ke$ha has revealed she is hoping to recreate her previous success with a second album and has taken her experience over the past year as inspiration for the record.

She said: 'I’ve been writing as I’ve been touring and travelling the world and having all these crazy experiences! I’ve been writing a lot! I haven’t gone into the studio but all I know is that the next record is definitely going to have an extremely visceral attitude to do it.'
Ke$ha wasn't the only star to receive huge cheers from the crowd with her Glastonbury performance.
The relentless drizzle suited Morrissey's loyal legion of fans, with some weeping with joy as the former Smiths frontman delivered a moody set on the Pyramid Stage.

Midway through his set, Morrissey joked to the crowd: 'I will sing as fast as I can. I know you are ready for U2. I know that, you know that.'
And when U2 took to the stage, violence broke out among the crowd as a protest against the Irish band's tax status was foiled by security guards.
As Bono and his bandmates took to the Pyramid Stage, activists from direct action group Art Uncut inflated a 20ft balloon emblazoned with the message 'U Pay Your Tax 2'.

But as the campaigners tried to release it over the 50,000-strong crowd, a team of 10 burly security guards wrestled them to the ground before deflating the balloon and taking it away.
Several protesters were pinned against a fence near the Pyramid Stage after attempting to hold on to the balloon. There were no arrests.

One of the campaign group members said: 'That was totally over the top. He threatened to hit me.'
Another said: 'Political activism used to belong at Glastonbury. This was all going to be completely peaceful.'
A handful of U2 fans looked on open-mouthed and booed as the security guards swooped.
Earlier in the day, campaign member Anna Walker had said: 'Everyone there will see it. If the BBC do not broadcast it, there is little doubt that it will have been an editorial decision.'
Placards were also due to be held up declaring 'Bono tax dodger' and 'Bono pay up'.
Fellow campaigner Charlie Dewar said: 'U2's multimillion-euro tax dodge is depriving the Irish people at a time when they desperately need income to offset the Irish Government's savage austerity programme.
'Tax nestling in the band's bank account should be helping to keep open the hospitals, schools and libraries that are closing all over Ireland.
'Bono is well-known for his anti-poverty campaigning but Art Uncut is accusing him of hypocrisy.'
Primal Scream also featured on the bill as the crowds brave forecasts of torrential rain.

Almost every inch of Worthy Farm in Pilton is sodden after heavy downpours in recent days.
Claire Austin, a forecaster with MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said the wet weather could dramatically improve over the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday should be largely dry, with temperatures possibly topping 25C on the last day.
This year's event also sees Coldplay and Beyonce headlining.
