SYMPOSIUM on ‘Design Education : Introspections & Prescriptions’

Design is the human power to conceive, plan, and realize products that serve human beings in the accomplishment of any individual or collective purpose. Designing is exciting and stimulating profession. Designers tap their hidden or suppressed fountainheads of creativity within them and create designs which improve our everyday life. Area of interest for a designer may vary from textiles to top applications of technology. Vaitarna have been organizing Career guidance and Career counselling exclusively dedicated to Design Education. Many students have got benefits from such an event during earlier times. This year we have organized a SYMPOSIUM on “DESIGN EDUCATION : INTROSPECTIONS & PRESCRIPTIONS” on the 21st April’ 2010 at the S.N.D.T.Women’s University’s Juhu Campus. This Symposium offers a unique platform for the Institutions offering courses in various fields of Design and the students aspiring to grow as future Designers in the areas of Textiles : Fashion, Jewellery, Interiors, and Ceramics etc. This is an opportunity for both the sides to meet face to face, collect information, ask all the questions and get all doubts cleared.
