The new queen of Italia

Madonna has been chosen by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to be the new Spring Summer face of their successful and sensual label. So bye bye bunny ears...

For the last 2 campaigns Madonna has been the face of Louis Vuitton. The communication between the queen of pop and Vuitton’s lead designer Marc Jacobs was amazing. The ads were no less than breath taking. Jacobs let Madonna connect with her romantic roots and the outcome was perfection.



Like every other good thing in life, the romance between Jacobs and Madge came to an end. But don't worry, this season you will seeMadonna as the face of another major fashion house. This time it will be Dolce & Gabbana. Photographer Steven Klein shot the campaign last week in New York.



The Italian designers chose Madonna to be the face of the Sicilian inspired campaign because of her sensuality and because of her Italian heritage. They felt that Madonna was exactly the person they were looking for. In the new campaign Dominico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana revived the Italian tradition and Madonna couldn't say no to the challenge.


After het "Sticky and Sweet" world tour, Madonna is going to add another campaign to her resume. We have no doubt it is going to be a hard to forget one…
